What We Know About the 2023 Christmas Special But beyond that, Christmas Day just hasn’t been the same since it stopped having a TARDIS in it. The new pattern – eight episodes and a Christmas special, “annual Doctor Who, no gap years, lots of content, on and on”, as Davies calls it, is an exciting prospect.
